Data protection statement
The Validation Centre (TVC) Limited (“TVC”) is a limited company, registered in England and Wales (Company Number 4596823) whose registered office is Ingram House, Meridian Way, Norwich, Norfolk, NR7 0TA, England.
TVC is committed to conducting its business in accordance with all applicable Data Protection laws and regulations, and in line with the highest standards of ethical conduct. To demonstrate our commitment to Data Protection, and to enhance the effectiveness of our compliance, TVC has established a Data Protection Officer.
TVC fully accepts all the personal data protection principles embodied in the the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR 2021), Data Protection Act (DPA 2018), Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, together with the corresponding Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR 2003) and e-Privacy legislation.
TVC will obtain Personal Data only by lawful and fair means and, where appropriate with the knowledge and Consent of the individual concerned. Where a need exists to request and receive the Consent of an individual prior to the collection, use or disclosure of their Personal Data, TVC is committed to seeking such Consent.
TVC will, when required by applicable law, contract, or where it considers that it is reasonably appropriate to do so, provide Data Subjects with information as to the purpose of the Processing of their Personal Data.
Each external website utilised by a TVC will include online ‘Privacy Notices’ and an online ‘Cookie Notice’ fulfilling the requirements of applicable law.

The legal bases for the processing of personal data in this context are Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR and Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the management of the cookies and similar technologies used and the related consents.
The provision of personal data is neither contractually required nor necessary for the conclusion of a contract. You are not obliged to provide the personal data. If you do not provide the personal data, we will not be able to manage your consents.
This policy is effective as of 30 April 2026.
Information we collect
TVC uses the Personal Data of its Contacts for the following broad purposes:
- the general running and business administration of TVC
- to provide services to TVC customers
- the ongoing administration and management of customer services
TVC will Process Personal Data in accordance with all applicable laws and applicable contractual obligations. More specifically, TVC will not Process Personal Data unless at least one of the legal bases for processing identified within the UK GDPR are met.
TVC will adopt all necessary measures to ensure that the Personal Data it collects, and Processes is complete and accurate in the first instance and is updated to reflect the current situation of the Data Subject.
As a rule, TVC will not send promotional or direct marketing material to a TVC Contact through digital channels such as mobile phones, email and the internet, without first obtaining their Consent. Data Subject have the right to object, at any stage, to having their data Processed for such purposes. Any objection will ensure all digital marketing related Processing of their Personal Data will cease immediately.
Storage of your personal data
To ensure fair Processing, Personal Data will not be retained by TVC for longer than necessary in relation to the purposes for which it was originally collected, or for which it was further Processed.
All Personal Data will be deleted or destroyed as soon as possible when there is no longer a need to retain it.
TVC adopts physical, technical, and organisational measures to ensure the security of Personal Data. This includes the prevention of loss or damage, unauthorised alteration, access or Processing, and other risks to which it may be exposed by virtue of human action or the physical or natural environment.
Controlling your personal data
If an individual makes a request relating to the Personal Data held by TVC, each request will be considered in accordance with all applicable Data Protection laws and regulations. No administration fee will be charged for considering and/or complying with such a request unless the request is deemed to be unnecessary or excessive in nature.
Data Subjects are entitled to obtain, based upon a request made in writing to the Offcier and upon successful verification of their identity, TVC will provide information about the individuals’ Personal Data.
All requests received for access to or rectification of Personal Data must be directed to the Data Protection Officer and a response to each request will be provided within 30 days of the receipt of the written request from the Data Subject. Appropriate verification must confirm that the requestor is the Data Subject or their authorised legal representative. Data Subjects shall have the right to require TVC to correct or supplement erroneous, misleading, outdated, or incomplete Personal Data.
If TVC cannot respond fully to the request within 30 days, the Officer shall nevertheless provide an acknowledgement of receipt of the request, any information located to date, an estimated date by which any remaining responses will be provided, an estimate of any costs due to TVC where the request is excessive in nature and the name and contact information of the TVC individual whom the Data Subject should contact for follow up.
It should be noted that situations may arise where providing the information requested by a Data Subject would disclose Personal Data about another individual. In such cases, information must be redacted or withheld as may be necessary or appropriate to protect that person’s rights.
In certain circumstances, it is permitted that Personal Data be shared without the knowledge or Consent of a Data Subject. This is the case where the disclosure of the Personal Data is necessary for the prevention or detection of crime, the apprehension or prosecution of offenders, the assessment or collection of a tax or duty and by the order of a court or by any rule of law.
Your right to complain
Data Subjects with a complaint about the Processing of their Personal Data should put forward the matter in writing to the Data Protection Officer. An investigation of the complaint will be carried out to the extent that is appropriate based on the merits of the specific case. The Data Protection Officer will inform the Data Subject of the progress and the outcome of the complaint within a reasonable period. If the issue cannot be resolved through consultation between the Data Subject and the Data Protection Officer, then the Data Subject may, at their option, seek redress through mediation, binding arbitration, litigation, or via complaint to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).
