Tint Tester

Tint Tester (manufactured by FORCE TECHNOLOGY) is a tool for fast, easy and precise checking of the purge gas' purity before welding is performed in stainless pipes and containers.

The equipment consists of a chamber with a test disc in one end, and an inspection glass at the other end. The chamber is filled with purge gas coming from the welding site through an inlet tube and a ventilating valve. Through the inspection glass in the chamber the result of the welding test is easily detected and thus the result as to how the weld will turn out inside the pipe.

Tint Tester may also be used to check the purge gas' purity directly from the cylinder.

The equipment includes a suction disc for handling the test discs without touching them and a pot with 25 Test discs. The discs are delivered in 2 forms (marked with identification):

• a cleaned disc for procedure development and low rated testing
• a high rated disc, degreased and pickled according to a stringent procedure.
